Goldfield and Goldfield Hotel
Virginia City, Nevada
October 1, 2006 - 1st Visit
June 10, 2007 - 2nd Visit

     Founded in 1902, Goldfield boasted a population of 30,000 during its heyday. In 1906 it produced 11 million in gold (small compared to Virginia City, Nevada it’s 70 million which blossomed to 300 billion dollars in silver from 1859-1875.) On July 8th 1905 Goldfield suffered its first major fire when a stove exploded in a millenary shop. The town was saved when the wind shifted but not before two blocks of businesses were burned to the ground. Three months later Virgil contracted pneumonia and “crossed over.” Wyatt left Nevada shortly after Virgil’s death. The Hotel was built on top of an old abandoned gold mine. Boasting 154 rooms it opened in 1908.
Room 109 is reputedly haunted by a pregnant woman prostitute by the name of Elizabeth who was chained to the radiator by the original owner George Winfield. Psychics have said that she is still chained there. After giving birth she was left to die while George Winfield murdered the newborn, by throwing the helpless baby down a mineshaft in the northern part of the basement. Elizabeth’s tortured spirit was even captured in a photograph taken by a Las Vegas reporter. On the first floor George Winfield’s room is reputedly haunted. Untraceable cigar smoke and fresh ashes have been found there. George’s presence has been detected on the lobby staircase where a midget and small children have also been seen and heard.
The Gold room is haunted by a poltergeist spirit that “stabs” people high psychic energy and high EMF readings have been detected in The Theodore Roosevelt Room and a southwest room on the third floor. Some say that The Goldfield Hotel is only one of 7 portals to the other side in the world.
This place is one of the most haunted places I have been to. I did not get pushed or tugged or anything like that but I managed to get excellent EVP, on my first visit, our 2nd visit we did an overnight, again I got good EVP. The town is under new chamber of commerce and no access is allowed until after August of 2007, but believe me we will be going here again.

2nd Visit
June 10, 2007

This was a overnight investigation. We teamed up with a production crew from Vegas and it was exciting! We experienced a lot of activity on the second floor, with cold spots so we used a K-ll meter and it was going crazy. They did a seanuce and felt it was a little boy. He seemed to be connected with our tech manager assistant, Josh Owen. Once again, we collected great evidence.
